Hi, I'm Caron
I live in Johannesburg, South Africa, and I'm happily married and have the privilege of being a mum to two awesome young adults! I’m a qualified, full time Art teacher and a part time artist.
I started Flourish during lockdown in March 2020. Each day I would paint a small watercolour painting with an inspirational quote, to try and encourage friends, family and colleagues during what was a really stressful and uncertain time.
The response I received from all over the world was incredible! I kept being asked if I would make something with all the paintings I had done, and so I came up with an idea of producing my “Tropical Vibes” Inspirational Quote Card sets….my very first product! The rest as they say is history! My little business has grown from strength to strength and I am enjoying the opportunities to turn my artwork into all sorts of amazing products. I love the joy that my art brings to my clients and never get tired of people’s reactions to my work.

PAINTING WORKSHOPS & EVENTS

I recently attended watercolor workshop hosted by Caron, and what a beautiful experience it was! Caron has such a gentle, encouraging way of teaching that instantly makes you feel comfortable, even if you’ve never picked up a brush before.
We painted a protea — something I honestly thought would be far too difficult for me — but Caron broke it down step by step, making the process feel approachable and fun. She gave us the freedom to experiment while guiding us with techniques that made the painting come alive. By the end, I had a protea on paper that I was genuinely proud of!
What stood out most was the atmosphere Caron created: relaxed, inspiring, and full of joy. It wasn’t just about learning to paint, but about slowing down, connecting with creativity, and leaving with something uniquely yours.
I left the workshop not only with a lovely painting, but also with a new confidence and appreciation for watercolors. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a creative escape and a chance to flourish with Caron’s wonderful guidance! 🌿🎨
